Arduino Stompbox Audio Sampler

Under construction

Breadboarding the Arduino Audio-sampler

Description
I wanted an easy way to play audio-samples on stage when I’m playing concerts with my band. The basic idea is to make a stompbox with SPDT/DPDT-buttons that will trigger the audio-samples to be played from an SD-card.
I had an 16×2 LCD-display laying around, so I thought I’d use it for visual feedback ie. what sample is playing, which one is next, current status of the sampler etc.

Components
I will be using an Arduino Uno, LadyAda’s WaveShield, a 16×2 LCDdisplay as well as some SPDT/DPDT-switcher (stompbox-style)

Build
The circuit is currently on a breadboard, so I’ll update this section when the prototyping is finished.

Code
The circuit is currently on a breadboard, so I’ll update this section when the prototyping is finished.

  2. awesome! can’t wait to see it.

  3. Any progress on this? I’m looking for a simple sampler to put into a small enclosure, for similar use.

  4. Hi! Yes, I finished it a while ago and I’ve used it on a gig. It’s been working quite good, though I had some issues with lacking electrical insulation in the enclosure, so I will have to open it up and do some more work. I’ll update the project-page when I get the time 🙂

  5. Any progress on explaining what you did here? Even just a BoM and circuit would be great

  6. Have you ever finished this? If so, can you post an update? Thanks!
